Reading and Spelling Weekly Homework
**Read 20 minutes each night when possible. You may use your weekly reading stories or any other books that you have. Record what is read in the “Reading at Home Log” that is located in your take-home folder. When it is full, return it to me for a treat. I will then give you a new reading log.**
Day 1
1. Read the story in the Reading/Writing Workshop book.
2. Study the spelling words.
3. Read the Words to Know pages in the Reading/Writing Workshop book. These are our high frequency words. Be able to read the words.
Day 2
1. Read the story in the Reading/Writing Workshop book.
2. Study the spelling words.
3. Write a sentence with each of the high frequency words. Turn the sentences in to Mrs. George tomorrow.
Day 3
1. Read the story in the Literature Anthology book.
2. Write the spelling words 2 times each. Give these to Mrs. George tomorrow.
Day 4
1. Read the story from the Literature Anthology book.
2. Study the spelling words. The test is tomorrow.
3. Review the high frequency words.
Day 5 This is test day. There will be no homework on Day 5.
